Cricket World Cup Fever continued at Broxbourne Sports Club as they hosted their annual Junior Cricket Festival on Sunday which involved around 80 8-14 year old’s playing 3 competitions on the club’s two cricket pitches.
The day concluded with the presentation of awards for all teams, the highlights of which were Blake Milne winning Player Of The Day award, Joss Rodman the U11 Player Of The Year & Leo Holland the U13 Player Of The Year.
It has been another successful season for the Club’s Junior Section who entered 11 teams from U9’s up to U15’s in the Herts Junior League competitions. The highlight of the season was the U11’s who reached the Junior County Finals Day, winning all of their matches before losing a close game against a strong West Herts side in the semi-final.
